Switch to dot com, or just redirect?

For a long time Zencoder has had the domain zencoder.tv. Since then we’ve purchased the dot com version from the original owner. The question now is whether to completely switch over to the dot com version, or just redirect dot com requests to dot tv.

Some things to consider if switching to dot com:
Links from other sites — we can 301 redirect from dot tv to make sure we don’t lose links. Also, people may just assume dot com.
Domain age / Backlink Age — zencode.com is actually older than dot tv, though it never had any links to it. I doubt it would give us any benefit.
Switching emails and calendars &mdash while these can probably be redirected, it would still be a pain to update everything and everyone.

It would probably be best to switch to the dot com, just to make it easier on everyone for the long run, and sooner rather than later.
